Online Options for Fall: Our recent parent survey showed that many of our parents may be considering virtual classes for their students for fall, whether remote learning is required or not. For many years, DCS has offered a completely online program for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The courses are full online courses and are designed to be online instruction. More information is available using this link.
If you are interested in learning more about the program, please respond to a brief survey. If you are not interested in learning more, please do not fill out the survey. Filling out this form does not enroll your child in online learning next fall. This information will be used as a gauge for internal planning purposes by the district leadership team. Your participation will help greatly as we plan for next year and develop a variety of options for our families.

Welcome Message from Mr. McCalla
Anchor Elementary is one of two young 5 through second grade schools in the Dexter Community School District.
Our mission is to provide a quality education for all students.
We are so proud of the students who come here to learn each day. Our staff believe children learn best when they feel safe and respected, and when they believe they are valued members of a caring school community. We work every day to encourage a love for learning as we surround each child with a rich and stimulating curriculum.
We take pride in:
- Highly skilled teachers, para-educators and support staff
- Ongoing staff development
- Our wonderful parent teacher group
- Our weekly “Anchor Assistants” from each classroom
Thank you for visiting our website. If you have any questions about our school, please feel free to contact Principal Craig McCalla.
